SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE

FIRE DETECTION MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE (PTY) LTD offers scheduled preventative maintenance and service of Fire Detection Systems. The scheduling of the maintenance and service will be determined by the status of the system, the operating environment and requirements of the client. The Maintenance and service schedules range between Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Half yearly and annually.

The main purpose of scheduled maintenance and service is to detect and prevent system deterioration and failure, thus ensuring the system continues to operate at its full functionality and meets its legislative requirements.

UNSCHEDULED MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE

FIRE DETECTION MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE (PTY) LTD also offers unscheduled maintenance and service where the Fire Detection system might require attention outside of the scheduled maintenance periods. In this case a technician will attend to the client’s requirements by visit the client site to do the necessary repairs on the Fire Detection System.

The unscheduled maintenance and Service also will be offered to clients that do not have scheduled maintenance and service contracts with FDMS. Unforeseen failures, damage and changes in building layouts are some of the reasons for requiring unscheduled maintenance services, to ensure that the Fire System returns to its full functionality.

ONSITE SUPPORT AND SERVICE

FIRE DETECTION MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE (PTY) LTD offers onsite support and service by visiting the client to make them understand the functionality of their Fire Detection System and resolve operational problems that might be experienced by the client due to the system operation.

Through Onsite Support and Service, Fire Detection System repairs and small works work will be conducted to ensure that the system reaches its full level of functionality, even after changes are made to site layouts.

OFF SITE SUPPORT AND SERVICE

As a new service being offered, the clients will be offered offsite support and service on their Fire Detection Systems. This will be achieved through the introduction of telemetry systems connected to client’s Fire Detection Systems Control Panel. The systems will enable our technicians to access the Fire Panel information remotely and be able to diagnose the required intervention even before they need to offer Onsite Support or Unscheduled Service.

Through the use of technology the cost of unnecessary call outs for onsite support will be reduced and the Fire Detection System can be monitored and managed remotely.

The Offsite support will also enable our company to effectively plan and advice our clients before scheduled maintenance is executed and what should be expected. Various system reports can be generated and analysed offsite and presented to our clients, indicating the status of their Fire Detection Alarm Systems.

TRAINING

FIRE DETECTION MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE (PTY) LTD believes that through continuous training of the client security and maintenance personnel, most of the Fire Detection support issues could be resolved. Thus we offer continuous training to the client’s personnel that works with the Fire Detection systems.

FIRE DRILLS SUPPORT

Part of ensuring that the Fire Detection System does it intended job is to ensure that all personnel know how to react during a fire alarm situation. It thus this reason that FIRE DETECTION MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE (PTY) LTD offers support during Fire Drills to ensure that the fire detection system functions optimally during this period, and that all issues that relates to the Fire Detection System are noted and presented for rectification.
